We really had the most amazing weekend. This cottage has everything you could possible want... the place had a jacuzzi, fireplace and was very modern, stylish and private. It was right in the mountains and was very peaceful and cosy.Dave and Les were very welcoming and friendly. Will definately be back. Thank you for such a lovely weekend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sunbird Cottage! The buildings are very well maintained, the rooms are very tastefully furnished and luxuriously appointed.
Each bedroom and the lounge has its own TV and DST decoder. The only note here is that the channels are restricted to a limited collection.
The patio is spacious and each unit is very private. The Jacuzzi was a real plus and having a few drinks in a hot tub under the stars is as relaxing as it gets.
The area is very quiet and there are noise curfews in effect from 12 just in case you get a few rowdy guests in the area!
There is free WiFi available for email and surfing the web. Cell phone reception was perfect (MTN).
Access from Winterton is easy and the road condition is excellent except for a small 300m potholed patch near the cottage entrance - nothing a car could not easily handle.
Highly recommended and we will both be back again!

We spent a weekend at Ama Casa for our 32nd anniversary. It was amazing!! The view from everywhere in the cottage is spectacular and the hosts are warm and friendly. What a lovely place to just relax and unwind in the jacuzzi. We took our mountain bikes and found some lovely trails very close by - what a bonus.
The cottage is very well appointed and has everything one could need for a weekend break. Can't wait to return!

Magnificent view of the mountains, peace and quiet a real gem, where you can recharge and see God splendour, Ama Casa is also situated centrally so that you don’t even have to drive far to do the activities in the area, Coming back from the days activities and getting into the Jacuzzi to unwind is a bonus, We highly recommend these cottages to anyone looking for something new. Trust me, once you have stayed here you will not want to go home nor stay anywhere else!!! We thank the gracious hosts Les & Dave for sharing their peace of heaven with us and we will certainly return for a visit again. Thanks a million!!!!!

This has got to be one of the most special and spectacular locations in the Berg. Sunbird cottage is amazing with so so many personal touches that really make it feel more of a home than a vacation spot. The hosts are gracious and the staff wonderful. Cannot wait to go back again ! I VERY highly recommend these cottages to anyone looking for something new. Trust me, once you have stayed here you will not want to stay anywhere else !!!

Mountains surround you, the peace and quiet wisper to your soul, the beautiful views confirm that God is the greatest artist, this is what Ama Casa is all about. Our first time in the Berg as a couple and what a time it has been. We will return.....

We've been to numerous places all over the drakensberg, from north to south, and I must admit, Amacasa was definitely one of the best. It really is worth spending that extra bit of money and, considering what you get for it, it is incredibly good value if privacy, great view & comfort in stylish surrounds is what you are after (we stayed in Kingfisher cottage). A lot of care went into the design and styling of the cottage, and we really thought long and hard what we might say on the "missing things you would have liked" list/feedback form and we came up with ... nothing.
